In this paper, we consider an age dependent epidemic model of type $S \rightarrow I \rightarrow \cdot$ and study the solutions of the model. In view of the above, we study a nonlinear model which is a generalisation of the age dependent epidemic model and obtain the existence, uniqueness, the semigroup property and the continuous dependence of the solutions on the initial data for the general model. Then, we show that the age dependent SI model is a particular case of the general model and hence conclude the wellposedness of the age dependent epidemic model.Downloads
